The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has shown ways to protect yourself from coronavirus on board and at the airport, Express reported. The first rule is to maintain social distance where possible (for example, at a checkpoint). According to TSA data, a distance among people should be six feet, approximately 183 centimeters. In addition, experts have recalled the need to wear a mask throughout the trip.
Experts also shared methods to protect passengers as much as possible during pre-flight inspection. The most "mean criminals" are the trays. In half of them, researchers figured out influenza viruses and other diseases. Passengers are using trays regularly and not always correctly in terms of hygiene, leading to the huge danger. Moreover, tourists have to take the tray.
Although disinfection and cleaning measures at airports have been strengthened since the beginning of the pandemic, the TSA encourages passengers put all items in their hand luggage. Hygiene is also needed to limit the spread of the virus. “Follow the hygiene practices such as washing your hands regularly, including before and after the inspection process or use a disinfectant,” experts stated.
