The first ever integrated peacekeeping exercises of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan were held in Almaty region under the guidance of the Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, according to the Akorda's press service. More than 1000 military personnel, over 100 units of military and special equipment of the assault forces, air force, military police, military medical institutions, the Peacekeeping Training Center and the Demining Center were involved in.
During the exercises, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev pointed out a military personnel activity and expressed his gratitude to Kazakhstan peacekeepers for their impeccable service. The head of state remarked upon the growing role of the army, performing large-scale tasks in peacetime. “Cooperation and partnership is our top priority. You have made a great contribution to strengthening international security. Being a peacekeeper is to be a peace ambassador. You have successfully accomplished the objective sought. Thanks to such teachings, you are improving your military skills. I am confident in your fighting spirit and glory of our army will only grow, ”the head of state noted.
According to the President, equipping such troops with modern equipment should be carried out as a priority, and domestic enterprises will be involved in. The head of state pointed out the need to develop digital technologies in troops management, as well as to maintain tactics and strategies in cyber and information services. The head of state also noted the need to create a modern military infrastructure and the logistics system of the Armed Forces.
