Petropavlovsk branch has installed the ATIS equipment

In terms of the RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia" Development Plan for 2017-2021, Petropavlovsk Branch has installed a phased ATIS equipment (Automatic Terminal Information Service) intended for automatic transmission of current meteorological and operational navigation information in the aerodrome area in English and Russian in accordance with Kazakhstan and international regulatory documents.

Currently, MV Network LLP specialists have installed and configured the receiving-transmitting system equipment. The next step under an agreement with NITA LLC will be an installation of the AMetISt Information Broadcast Automation Complex (IBAC AmetISt), is being a source information for ATIS transmitting equipment.

ATIS is an independent unit, providing aviation support to aircraft crews and plays a supporting role in air navigation services. Using ATIS, such an approach would help to reduce a load to air traffic controllers, thereby relieving them of the routine transactions in collecting and transmitting rapidly changing meteorological conditions in ATM areas and aerodromes.
