Singapore Airlines would launch "flights to nowhere"

By the end of October, Singapore Airlines intends to launch so-called "flights to nowhere", during which aircrafts would be returned to the airport after the flight, Straits Times reported.

According to the newspaper, passengers will be able to spend about three hours in flight without a destination. Flights will be operated from Changi Airport. It is noted that the purpose is struggle against economic complexities of the company caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

As previously reported, Singapore Airlines might had been reduced about 2.4 thousand employees due to the coronavirus pandemic. Such flights "to nowhere" have become popular in Taiwan due to closed borders and interrupted flights amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
