Conditions under which Kazakhstan citizens can visit other countries were announced

Kazakhstan citizens are able to fly to 11 countries, but several states still maintain restrictions on entering foreign guests. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan provided more detailed information about which way and conditions might have choose Kazakhstan citizens, as reported by zakon.kz.

Today, Kazakhstan citizens might go to 11 countries. The Foreign Ministry indicates each country requires certain demands for arrivals. For example, having a PCR test, quarantining upon arrival, obtaining a visa, etc. The Foreign Ministry recommends to carefully study the requirements of countries before planning a trip to a country, what is necessary to have, need a visa or not, as well as other requirements.

Below is the current list of countries where Kazakhstan citizens are be able to travel and requirements for arriving.

1. Belarus

- airports are opened;

- a PCR test certificate for COVID-19 is not needed;

- but requires 14 days of home quarantine isolation;

Kazakhstan citizens do not need to obtain a visa.

2. United Arab Emirates

No visa required. The airport of Dubai is opened.

- passengers who have a PCR test certificate for Covid-19 are allowed on UAE flights, (validity period - 96 hours);

- at the Dubai airport, passengers fill out a medical declaration and pass the test again (children under 12 years old and people with disabilities are exempt from taking the test). If a test is positive, self-isolation is required at home quarantine for 14 days;

-  it is necessary to have an international insurance policy;

 - documents confirming a return ticket no later than 30 days, as well as a hotel booking;

- wearing of masks in public places and shopping centers are mandatory (fine 1000.00 dirham (274 US dollars);

- transit flights are allowed (if the next flight is more than 96 hours later, it is allowed to enter the city).

3. Germany

The issuance of visas to Kazakhstan has been temporarily suspended. Entry restrictions into the country are imposed for an indefinite period.

In general:

- airports are opened;

- a PCR test certificate for Covid-19 is not needed;

- 14 days of home quarantine;

- transit flights are allowed (duration - no more than 24 hours, entry to the city is prohibited).

German visas are provided to Kazakhstan citizens in the following cases:

- medical personnel;

- cargo transportation employees and other transport companies (for example, aircraft crew members);

- diplomats, employees of international organizations, army, employees of humanitarian organizations traveling on an official trip;

- persons leaving for urgent family reasons;

- persons traveling for international security or other humanitarian purposes;

- persons reuniting with a family;

- specialists having working proposals;

- researchers engaged in scientific activities;

- IT specialists;

- employees engaged in activities of special public importance;

- persons returning to their homeland and their members.

4. Egypt

A negative coronavirus test certificate is required for a period not exceeding 72 hours (translated into English or Arabic). It is necessary to wear a mask in public places, shopping centers and hotels

5. Kingdom of the Netherlands

Entry restrictions are imposed into the country for an indefinite period. Only a diplomatic visa is issued.

In general, following conditions for arriving in this country:

- a PCR test certificate for COVID-19 is not needed;

- 14 days of home quarantine;

- transit flights are allowed (period - no more than 24 hours);

- when boarding it is necessary to fill out a health declaration;

- in public transport, as well as in some places in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, it is mandatory to wear masks (the fine is 95.00 euros);

- in all public places, a social distance of 1.5 meters (violation of this requirement will be estimated at 390.00 euros).

6.Korea

Visas to Kazakhstan citizens are issued only in special cases based on a positive decision of the relevant commission (for treatment, in the event of the close relative's death).

In general, following conditions for arriving in this country:

- a PCR test certificate for COVID-19 is needed (period - 48 hours). In addition, a certificate must be issued only by medical institutions and clinics of Kazakhstan which are recognized by the Embassy of South Korea;

- it is necessary to undergo electronic control and a special 14-day quarantine at the hotel (price: 120-150 US dollars per day);

- those arriving must pass the COVID-19 test within 3 days;

- transit flights are allowed (period - no more than 24 hours).

7. Kyrgyzstan

A visa is not needed, as well as a PCR test certificate for COVID-19. Kazakhstan citizens are able to fly with a passport and a 14-day isolation at home quarantine.

8. Uzbekistan

A visa and a PCR test certificate are not required either. Entry is possible with a passport.

9.Russia

No visa required. Airports were opened on September 21.

Kazakhstan citizens are able to enter Russia under the following conditions:

- a PCR test certificate for COVID-19;

- Nur-Sultan - Moscow flight once a week;

- there are no restrictions only regarding air transport, however, restrictions are maintained when crossing the border by land.

10.Turkey

A visa-free regime for 90 days. Following conditions for arrival in the country:

- a PCR test certificate for COVID-19 is not needed;

- before entering the country, it is necessary to issue a personal health insurance policy;

- all passengers are required to wear a mask. Persons without a mask are not allowed into the terminal and the aircraft, possibly a fine of US $ 123;

- at the terminal entrance, all passengers undergo a temperature measurement procedure using thermal imagers. If a body temperature exceeds 37.8 degrees or Covid-19 signs have been noticed, a test must be taken in special medical centers. All international airports have Testing Centers and the test is free. Test results will be ready within 1-3 hours. If the test result is positive, the passenger is sent to a separate hospital. Based on follow-up study, a passenger must be hospitalized. If the conclusion says "there are no indications for hospitalization, self-isolation is required in a 14-day quarantine", a passenger can stay in a hotel or at home. Passengers can continue their treatment in special rooms for persons on self-isolation.

11.Ukraine

This country has restricted entry until 28 September 2020. Airports are still closed.

After opening, following conditions for visit:

- a PCR test certificate for COVID-19 is needed (period - no more than 48 hours) or a passenger passes the test at the airport;

- a 14-day quarantine;

- before entering the country, it is necessary to issue a personal health insurance policy. An insurance policy must be issued through companies registered in Ukraine or through international insurance companies with representative offices in the country;

- wearing of mask in public places and shopping centers are mandatory;

- an identity document (passport);

- transit flights are allowed (period - no more than 24 hours).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan stated that current list will be updated.
