Which countries are opened to Kazakhstan citizens despite the pandemic

Despite the current global pandemic, a lot of states have already resumed flights with other countries. On September 21, 9 countries have opened borders for Kazakhstan, according to NUR.KZ.

Yesterday, on September 21, Kazakhstan and Russian cities for the first time in several months resumed their flights. Last Friday, Operational  Headquarters for combating coronavirus of the Russian Federation has announced the opening of borders for Kazakhstan, but so far one flight  will be available per week.

Previously, on September 20, Kazakhstan resumed flights with Kyrgyzstan, which as subject to certain limitations are available, but  flights from Almaty to Bishkek so far will be operated only 2 times a week. It should be noted, first flights between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are scheduled for October 1.

Turkey was one of the first countries which opened its borders for Kazakhstan, flights between states have been resumed on August 27. It worth noting that Kazakhstan citizens upon hearing that announcement were very happy to buy immediately resort vouchers to cities.

Poland also reconsider a situation for Kazakhstan - previously our state was on the forbidden list due to the unstable situation with the coronavirus. However, after the last review of the list, Kazakhstan was excluded from it. From September 16, the European country decided to  resume air communication.

Since August 17, Kazakhstan has begun expanding gradually routes to the UAE, Germany and Belarus. However, these flights are available only from Nur-Sultan and Almaty to certain cities of these states.

Reportedly, from September 12, Kazakhstan intends to open flights to Egypt. At the end of summer, it was also planned to resume flights with Ukraine. On August 28, the Ukrainian Authorities have decided to impose a monthly entry ban for foreigners. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that the prohibition will apply until September 28.

Total, countries which are accessible to Kazakhstan: UAE (from 17 August); Germany (from 18 August); Belarus (from August 19); Turkey (from 27 August); Poland (from September 16); Egypt (from September 12 - charter flights); Kyrgyzstan (from September 20); Russia (from September 21).

Coming soon: Uzbekistan (from October 1), Ukraine (entry prohibition will apply until September 28).
