Norwegian Air might go bankrupt in early 2021

According to Bloomberg, one of the largest low-cost airlines in Europe, Norwegian Air Shuttle has announced that it needs a financial assistance or a loan deferral, otherwise it might go bankrupt at the beginning of 2021.

The air carrier is considering two options for overcoming the crisis: private share placements and the sale of assets. The company had difficulties before the pandemic, and since the beginning it was forced to suspend the operation of their aircrafts and leave 8,000 employees on unpaid leave.

The publication reminds, the pandemic caused the major damage to the global air transportation market, as a result all airlines were affected.
