From August 17, Kazakhstan resumes international flights to a number of states

“In accordance with the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission on prevention of emergence and spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 11, 2020, taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the level of epidemiological situation according to the map of the World Health Organization, from August 17, 2020 international flights to the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, Ukraine and the Russian Federation will be renewed step by step,” according to the CCA.
As it was noted in the agency, MIID in cooperation with the aviation authorities of the above-mentioned countries, the issue of renewal of regular passenger flights was preliminary worked out. They support the renewal of flights with Kazakhstan in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements (thermometry, social distance, mask mode, PCR testing, etc.).
However, CCA added that flights to Russia require permission from the Russian authorities.
“The number of flights on international routes will be based on existing intergovernmental air traffic agreements and depending on the commercial load of aircraft on each route. Flights and ticket sales will be carried out in accordance with the schedule published on the websites of airlines as restrictions on the movement of citizens across national borders with the above countries are lifted and the epidemiological situation improves under the conditions of enhanced sanitary safety measures established by Kazakhstan and the relevant countries,” summarized the Civil Aviation Committee.
