Airbus, the aviation concern, has presented a new model of a flying taxi to the general public at one of its German factories. The novelty was named CityAirbus. The vehicle is an electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, according to Lonely Planet.

Reportedly, the remote controlled taxi is equipped for comfortable carriage of four passengers and might operate at speeds of up to 120 km / h. The aircraft's engine is completely electric and powered by a battery, making it environmentally friendly. Due to the four thin-bladed propellers, the aircraft is making less noise than a conventional helicopter.

According to Airbus, such an aircraft would be an excellent vehicle  around the city over short distances and will allow passengers to avoid traffics. The exact date when CityAirbus will be used constantly has not yet been announced. It is worth noting, Uber, Airbus' main competitor, has already launched such flying taxis. In October previous year, Uber Copter has appeared in New York and has begun transporting passengers from John Kennedy Airport to Lower Manhattan.
