Russia and Uzbekistan are considering the establishment of a low-cost airline

On July 20, Russia and Uzbekistan representatives have discussed the possibility of low-cost joint creation. According to TASS news agency with reference to the message of the Ministry of Transport, the idea was announced at the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the countries.
Reportedly, the Russian-Uzbek carrier would increase the transport accessibility of the countries, would increase the number of passenger and cargo flights between states. In addition, during the online meeting, the commission has discussed a prospective cooperation in digital transport systems and continued its work on a project setting requirements for airworthiness standards.
Previously, Belarus has started thinking about their own low-cost company creation. The low-cost airline will expand the route network and compete with Belavia, the country's main carrier.
