August 10 is declared the Day of Abay

This year, events dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great kazakh poet, scientist Abay Kunanbayev are held all over the country. The staff of RSE «Kazaeronavigatsiya» has also not stayed away.

Abay Kunanbayev is a great kazakh poet and composer, thinker, educator and public figure. His name has long been known outside Kazakhstan. For him, literature was a kind of golden gate to the boundless world of the universal spirit. It gave the great philosopher an opportunity to penetrate into all spheres of fundamental existence, into all endless phenomena of the world, man, nation, history, spirit in their inseparable unity, integrity, harmony, and allowed expanding the boundaries of human knowledge.

Abay is a world personality. He is a wise thinker and an outstanding poet, a true scientist. His poetry enhances love and compassion for people, encourages humanity to fight against darkness and ignorance.

Abay was different from his contemporaries by his worldview, deep and balanced thoughts and wisdom. He was the defender of the Kazakh people.

The great poet has left an invaluable heritage, a spiritual wealth that was passed from generation to generation.

In 1995, the 150th anniversary of Abay was widely celebrated around the world under the auspices of UNESCO. And this year August 10 was declared the Day of Abay by a decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In honor of this holiday, the branch "South-Eastern Regional Air Traffic Management Center" of the RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia" in the city of Almaty continued the baton of reading the works of the great poet started by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev and handed it over to the branch "Central Kazakhstan Regional Air Traffic Management Center" RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia" in the city of Nur-Sultan.
