IATA has called 2020 the worst in aviation history

IATA has announced the record losses that await global aviation for 2020. According to preliminary data, losses would amount to 84 billion dollars, TASS reports with reference to the IATA official statement.
According to the Head of the association, Alexander de Juniac, the aviation industry loses daily about $ 230 million. However, IATA suggests, the most difficult times for aviation related to COVID-19 pandemic are left behind, so a gradual renewal of air traffic might be started, taking into account ICAO's recommendations.
Previously, ICAO has created a special working group, is enabling to restore the aviation industry during the crisis. The new authorized body has developed special Guidelines for ensuring flight safety in difficult epidemiological conditions against the background of coronavirus infection.
