On May 27, the Boeing concern begun producing the 737 MAX model aircraft. According to the press service of the corporation, aircraft release would "gradually increase." Boeing also noted that previous “mistakes and failures” would be taken into account in preparing new aircrafts. Nowadays, their aircrafts have become safer and better, according to the Boeing's official website.
The concern has suspended the release of Boeing 737 MAX aircrafts due to two accidents which have lead to the death of passengers. After disasters in Ethiopia and Indonesia, air carriers begun refusing to supply new aircrafts, and the release of aircrafts has been terminated in January 2020. However, Boeing stated they have implemented more than a dozen initiatives aimed at improving the safety of their products and their quality.
Currently, Boeing is engaged in aircraft re-certification. The US Federal Aviation Authority is working towards tightening aircraft design process. The re-certification process for the Boeing 737 MAX still continues. However, the corporation is optimistic. Meanwhile, Boeing may face a number of challenges. Before the coronavirus pandemic, airlines abandoned their current orders for the Boeing 737 MAX. According to industry experts, until the revenues of the carriers are restored to the level of previous years, several airlines would risk introducing new models into their fleet.
