Kazakhstan intends to produce drones

"Kazakhstan Aviation Industry" LLP intends to establish production of unmanned aerial vehicles. “In 2020, it is scheduled to produce the highly efficient multifunctional drone systems to provide the state bodies of Kazakhstan,” as indicated in the report of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The enterprise also plans to enter the civilian market of aviation services, including export, thereby achieving the status of Regional Multifunctional Service Aviation Center in the future. In 2016, Kazakhstan Aviation Industry LLP was opened in order to develop the aviation industry and the competitiveness of Kazakhstan in the marketplace, maintenance and renovation of aircrafts. Key challenges include the execution of the State defense order to provide the state-owned aviation technology. These tasks are solved by highly qualified personnel among specialists having experience and skills in operating military aircrafts, as well as young engineers and technicians who have graduated from higher Kazakhstan and foreign educational institutions.
From 2018 to 2020, for the first time a domestic enterprise carried out servicing programmes on An-72, Su-25 Su-27, S-295 aircrafts in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In recent years, the staff of the enterprise has doubled, up to 200 personnes.
