According to Alexander de Junyak, the Head of IATA, the mandatory tourist quarantine which had been imposed by authorities of several countries is completely useless, CNBC reports.
On behalf of the organization, he called on the authorities to abandon quarantine measures, under which citizens arriving from abroad should be isolated for two weeks. Since the international traffic restoration is impossible due to total confidence in passengers, further preventive efforts must be made to prevail in the fight against the pandemic at airports.
He argued that it is sufficient that airlines introduce a thermometry, mask and glove regimes, and disinfection of salons before departure.
