A new terminal facility at Almaty airport will be opened in 2022

The President of Kazakhstan, who arrived on a working trip in Almaty, has reviewed the reconstruction drafts of the international airport, according to the Akorda's press service.
Serkan Kaptan, Deputy Director General of the TAV Airport Holding, informed the head of State about the intention to establish a new terminal of the air harbor. The project cost is estimated at 150 million euros, the total area of the terminal will be 55 thousand square meters, passenger traffic - 6 million people per year. The terminal is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev expressed the hope that after the reconstruction, Almaty Airport would be the largest aviation hub in Central Asia.
