Hong Kong International Airport has developed a new way to combat the spread of coronavirus. CleanTech technology is being tested in the air harbor which would make it possible to disinfect each passenger, according to the tourist publication Traveler.

As it became known, the disinfection process is shown below - first, the passenger’s body temperature is measured, then he enters a small sterile cabin with an antimicrobial coating. Inside, the tourist is sprayed with a disinfectant solution that eliminates most bacteria and viruses. Thus, every traveler goes through "instant disinfection." It is reported that air employees are involved in the test, but in the near future it is planned to extend the use of technology to all passengers.

It should be noted, other measures are being taken at Hong Kong Airport to prevent the spread of COVID-19. So, autonomous robots, equipped with ultraviolet radiation and air sterilizers, are moving in the air harbor which would make it possible to eliminate to 99.9% of bacteria at both in the air and on any solid surface. In addition, all check-in counters, waiting rooms, toilets and other facilities are treated with a specially designed “invisible” antimicrobial coating.
