ICAO will assist airlines to recover from the crisis caused by COVID-19

On April 29, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has created an ad hoc working group. The new authorized body will work towards establishing the aviation industry after the coronavirus pandemic. According to the press service of the department, the decision taken at the ICAO Management Council session, Montreal.
As it became known, the principal purpose of the working group is to identify the strategic priorities of global aviation. The body will also be directly involved in solving aviation issues at both country and global affairs. “As we know, air traffic is crucial to evolution of all regions worldwide. Therefore, the efficient operation of air transport is especially important for the recovery of the global economy after the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Salvatore Sciachitano, President of the ICAO Council.
Reportedly, the working group included representatives from the aviation industry, the United Nations, the World Health Organization and the World Tourism Organization.
