“Safer Skies” - International Forum on Safe Skies

The 4th International Forum “Safer Skies” has started in Marrakech, Morocco. It is dedicated to the issues of aviation security of civil aviation and reducing the risks for civil aircraft flights in or near conflict zones. The event was organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Safe Skies Consultative Committee (SSCC) and the aviation authorities of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The seminar brought together leading global experts in the field of aviation security, representatives of civil aviation from various countries, airlines that regularly fly to countries with unstable political situations, as well as air navigation service providers.
The forum are attended from “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE by Mr. Zhenis Augaliyev, the Deputy Director General – the Head of the Aviation Security Service and Mr. Talgat Zhultanov, the Head of the Sector for Aviation Security Risks Assessment and Management. Mr. Abdessamad Kayouh, the Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Kingdom of Morocco, and Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano, the President of ICAO, addressed the forum participants with welcoming speeches. In their speech, they noted the importance and relevance of the seminar in the context of constantly growing conflicts around the world, emphasizing that aviation security is a key factor in ensuring civil aircraft flights over or near conflict zones.
The Safer Skies Forum is a platform for sharing experiences, where possible solutions are considered when unforeseen circumstances arise. The outcome of the forum will be the development of specific recommendations for risk reduction and the exchange of strategies for effective management in conflict zones.
