A pilot project of ATCO ab-initio course was launched at the PTC

In accordance with the approved Training plan and on the basis of the program approved by the Civil Aviation Committee on November 15, 2017, a group of ten future ATC specialists began training at the Professional Training Center of KAZAERONAVIGATSIA RSE on the course of initial preparation of controllers “ATCO Initial Training”.

Almost half of the sessions will be conducted in English language, followed by future plans to fully carry out training in English. This is the first pilot project for the PTC. The uniqueness of this course is not only that for the first time classes will be conducted in English, but also that the program is fully compiled in accordance with the principles of the qualification training system. The course consists of 1346 hours of theoretical, 432 hours of practical training on the simulator and 10 hours of flight practice. This program includes Basic training, Rating training and training in All ratings.
