A new screening technology was implemented at the Vnukovo airport

The ultramodern inspection system was launched at the international airport Vnukovo. Prohibited items of travelers will be checked by HUMAN SECURITY RADAR (HSR), according to the airport press service. An automatic system does not restrict the human movement, but it can determine a dangerous object in the general flow, as well as its owner. The program immediately reacts and sends an alarm to security personnel, monitoring the installation.

It should be noted, the HSR not only notifies about a threat, but also sends a photo of a person, having a dangerous objet,  and also indicates where it is hidden, for example, under clothes or in personal belongings. The system capacity is about 5-6 thousand people per hour, which is significantly higher compared to usual methods of screening passengers. Apstec Systems, the Russian company, was engaged in the HSR development and launched such installations at some Belgian and Turkish airports. In Russia, the system is still awaiting certification.
