From May 1 flights between Nur-Sultan and Almaty will open. This was announced by Head of the State Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev in his address to the Kazakhstan people.
“All passenger air transportation was stopped in the country. It was completely justified. But taking into account stabilization of the situation, the government will open flights between the capital and Almaty on May 1. This is necessary both for citizens and for the work of many specialists, including those involved in the fight against the virus.
At the same time, it is important to carefully consider all safety precautions, to develop regulations for the interaction of aviation and sanitary-epidemiological services. Partial quarantine relief cannot be seen as a return to normal life, "the President said.
At the same time, the President again extended the state of emergency in Kazakhstan. Quarantine measures will be valid until May 11.
