On March 5, the British airline Flybe declared bankruptcy. European largest regional carrier terminated operating all flights, according to Virgin Atlantic Holding's press service, which is the major shareholder of the company.
Reportedly, despite significant financial support from investors in the amount of $ 175 million, Flybe was not able to continue its activities. It is emphasized, the COVID-19 virus also had a negative impact on the economic development of the carrier. Reduced flights, passenger flow reduction brought significant financial losses, and Flybe is not able to compensate.
Passengers, who purchased tickets directly on Flybe flights will be reimbursed for monetary losses (unfortunately, no alternative options are provided). Travelers who have purchased affiliate tickets and booked with Virgin Atlantic should contact Virgin Atlantic Service and change their route details.
