A modern radio-technical equipment for navigation aircraft maintenance was installed at Semey airport

On February 2020, an omnidirectional VHF radio beacon DVOR 432 / DME 435,manufactured by THALES, was successfully passed acceptance and flight tests at Semey airport.

This radio-technical equipment is intended for navigation aircraft maintenance, operating flights along the airways, as well as for providing approaches.

For the first time, this type of navigation beacon is installed at Semey Airport. Publication of approach procedures using the DVOR / DME beacon will be entered into the Aeronautical Information Compilation in accordance with the AIRAC deadlines.
