Qatar Airways has increased its stake in IAG to 25.1%

Qatar Airways Ltd. has increased its stake in one of the European largest airline group - International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (IAG) - from 21.4% to 25.1%, according to Qatari airline's press release, Interfax-Kazakhstan writes.
“Our IAG investments are still very successful, and the fact that we are increasing our share in the company speaks of our support for IAG and its strategy,” said Akbar al-Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways.
“Qatar Airways continues evaluating opportunities for investing in airlines and support management teams sharing our vision related to improving opportunities for air passengers worldwide,” he noted. IAG combines such airlines as British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, Vueling and Level, as well as several brands in air cargo area.
