British Airways set a record on New York-London route due to a hurricane

Last weekend, British Airways passenger aircraft covered the distance between New York and London eighty minutes faster due to hurricane Ciara. According to BBC News, the Boeing 747–436 reached speed of up to 1327 km / h and completed the flight in 4 hours and 56 minutes.

According to Flightradar24, this time is a record for which a passenger aircraft was managed to overcome New York - London route. The previous record was 5 hours and 13 minutes. Besides, due to hurricane, speed of two Virgin aircrafts on this route had increased to 4 hours 57 minutes and 4 hours 59 minutes.
