14 new routes to be opened by airlines in Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev appointed Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, the correspondent of the Tengrinews.kz reports.
Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev informed about the work done to create an open sky regime over Kazakhstan. This year 14 new routes are going to open by well-known airlines from Qatar, Poland, Oman, Belarus, Malaysia, Romania, UAE, and Kuwait. Negotiations are under way with the aviation authorities of Switzerland, South Korea, Singapore, Latvia and Lithuania.
Roman Sklyar said that 12 new air routes opened in 2019, including from the capital of Kazakhstan to Prague, Ulaanbaatar, and Tokyo.
The President instructed to continue active work to expand the air traffic of our country with the interested states, as well as to increase freight transport through the main airports of Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev also noted the importance of increasing competition in the aeronautical sphere, which will have a favorable impact on the quality of passenger service and the development of civil aviation in general.
