Brazilian regulator has approved the Boeing and Embraer deal

CADE, Brazilian antitrust regulator, has approved the deal for the creation of two joint ventures between Embraer SA, Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, and Boeing, American manufacturer, according to Interfax-Kazakhstan with reference to Boeing press service. Since the end of 2018, companies have been negotiating with the European Commission, which should make a final decision until 30 April.
Last November, the European antitrust regulator has suspended the evaluation of Boeing and Embraer deal and requested additional information. The check was resumed in early January. The Boeing and Embraer deal, which was announced in 2018, includes a creation of two joint ventures. One of them will be engaged in producing passenger aircrafts and the provision of related services. The share of the American corporation will be 80%, or approximately $ 4.2 billion. The second joint venture will specialize in promoting military transport aircrafts C-390 Millennium. Embraer will own 51% in this joint venture, Boeing - 49%.
