According to the Indian media, Indian authorities are selling 100% state-owned shares of the national carrier Air India. Currently, the enterprise owes creditors $ 8.45 billion.
One year previously, Indian authorities were unable to sell 76% of the airline’s shares and repay the debt $ 5.1 billion.
A potential purchaser, who have to submit his proposals by March 17, would receive 100% shares of Air India's subsidiary, the low-cost airline Air India Express, and 50% of AISATS, a service providing cargo and ground handling services.
