Boeing 777X successfully performed its first flight

On January 26, the brand new Boeing 777X performed its first flight on Everett – Seattle route. The flight continued around four hours, according to Simple Flying.

The test flight has taken place at the Everett airport (Washington, USA). The online broadcast could be seen on the official website of the Boeing, which created the new aircraft. Despite the fact that the first flight of the Boeing 777X was a significant event, it also marked the beginning of a very a long-term and arduous journey to certification for such type of aircrafts.

Ted Grady, one of the Boeing Test Pilots, spoke on the upcoming events: “This is a magnificent day and an incredible peak for us, but in fact this is only the first stage of the flight test program. We could begin a certification testing if we complete the initial preparation and hold another aircraft test”.
