Mitsubishi Aircraft, the Japanese corporation, in the beginning of January, has introduced the sixth in a row prototype of the SpaceJet M90 aircraft (registration number JA26MJ). Jeff Dronan, Strategic Communications Director for Program Management, told that aircraft was built in the final certification configuration, according to ATO. The new aircraft has incorporated all modifications that the manufacturer has made to the developing type over the past three years.
Currently, the aircraft is undergoing ground tests at Nagoya Airport (IATA code: NKM; Aichi Prefecture), next to the production facilities of the corporation, in preparation for the first flight. Later, it needs to join the other four prototypes of the M90, which are currently undergoing flight tests in the United States, in order to complete a type certification. The first aircraft prototype, which was introduced in May 2014, is used for ground tests. The representative of the Japanese manufacturer hasn't specify whether the JA26MJ would be the latest prototype at the M90 program.
