A new state-owned regional airline Humo Air will be created in Uzbekistan

This year, a new state-owned airline should be appeared in the republic of Uzbekistan which will be called Humo Air. Firstly, a company will focus on domestic flights around the country. The airline's task is to create more cheaper flights compared to the state carrier Uzbekistan Airways.

Abdulla Aripov, one of the state's leaders, has announced the creation of Humo Air, the state-owned airline. This event has happened on January 18 at a session of the Political Council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP). According to Aripov, quoted by local media, Humo Air would appear to create a competitive environment in civil aviation.

In the Arabized mythology of nations of Central Asia, Humo is a magic bird foretelling a happiness. The mythical bird Humo in silver colour with spread wings is depicted in the center of the state emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
