A new airport will be built in the Arctic

A new airport will be built  in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, in the Arctic, according to the Tourister portal. The project construction for the "Morning" Airport on the Gydan peninsula was approved by the Glavgosexpertiza of the Russian Federation. Primarily, the air harbor will be used for cargo delivery and shift personnel to the region of the Morning oil and gas condensate field.

The airport would have a runway, taxiways, aprons and aircraft parking areas, a terminal and a control center.  Air harbor would be equipped by road, hotel and other household and technical facilities.It also will be able to receive small and medium-sized aircrafts, both Russian and foreign turboprops, as well as cargo-passenger helicopters.
