The world's first electric aircraft successfully was tested in Canada

On December 10, Harbor Air, North America's majorest airline on seaplane manufacture, has announced the successful operation of the world's first electric commercial aircraft. MagniX, also called the “revolutionary in the area of electric aviation,” also participated in creating of the electric aircraft.
It is reported that the electric aircraft ePlane with six passengers on board was piloted by Greg McDougall, Director General and founder of Harbor Air. According to him, this historic flight means the beginning of a new electric era in aviation.
“Today we went down in history,” said McDougall. - I am proud of Harbor Air leadership role in aviation and seaplane industry". Canada has been playing a leading role in aviation for a long time, so being a part of this incredible event is especially important for us."
“We were able to prove that low-cost, environmentally friendly, commercial electric air transportations could become a reality in the near future,” said Roy Ganzarski, MagniX CEO. In the near future, MagniX and Harbor Air will begin a certification process of the propulsion system and equipping the aircrafts with electric engines. Previously, NASA has reported on the development of power plants, working at hydrogen fuel.
