Rating of the dirtiest airlines in the world

HuffPost edition has conducted a survey among passengers and determined the dirtiest airlines in the world. A negative rating was led by Ryanair, the British low-cost airline. Reportedly, about 8,000 persons had participated in the survey, who evaluated several carriers at once. In their opinion, the most dirtiest airline might be called the Ryanair.

Over half of surveyed tourists (58%) evaluated the cleanliness on carrier flights as “bad”. As it has became known (during an independent investigation by HuffPost), on Ryanair board you can see greasy trays, dirty headrests and portholes, as well as dusty ventilation holes on the ceiling. Using the ultraviolet light, many spots were also found on food platters that cannot be seen with the unaided eye.

In addition to the British low-cost airline, other low-cost carriers - Wizz Air, Vueling and EasyJet - were included in the rating. About 40% of respondents were dissatisfied with the cleanliness on flights of these airlines. At the same time, passengers had noted the most hygienic carriers. More than 90% of travelers were pleased with Air New Zealand (97%), Singapore Airlines (96%), Emirates (95%), Qatar Airways (95%), Cathay Pacific (94%) and Swiss (94%).
