In Uzbekistan, the restructuring of the state major airlines has been completed. According to the press service of the national carrier NAC "Uzbekistan Havo Yullari", on the basis of the company were created "Uzbekistan Airways" JSC and "Uzbekistan Airports" JSC, the airport operation authority.
Nowadays, a flight organization and an aircraft fleet operation will be carried out by "Uzbekistan Airways" JSC. State Unitary Enterprises (SUE), belonging to NAC, were transformed into limited liability companies. Among them are 11 international airports of the country (in Andijan, Bukhara, Karshi, Navoy, Nukus, Namangan, Samarkand, Tashkent, Termez, Urgench and Fergana), state shares in their authorized capital were transferred to "Uzbekistan Airports" JSC.
The restructuring also affected the helicopter industry segment. "Uzbekistan Helicopters" LLC was created on the basis "Special Aircraft Works Airline" SUE , controlled by the NAC. The national ANSP "Uzaeronavigatsia" has been transferred to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The need for sharing is justified by an outmoded management system that includes a state regulation and commercial activities, which affects the financial status of the national carrier. The another reason is the monopolization of civil transportation, including ground infrastructure. This has led to the backlog of Uzbekistan from the global aviation market and the unprofitability of the state air harbors.
