Today, the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner of the Qantas, Australian airline, has rolled out of the paint shop, according to the press service of the carrier. A special livery is dedicated to the centennial celebration from the opening of "Flying Kangaroo".
This November, Qantas Airlines turns 99 years old. As the carrier, who was nicknamed the “Flying Kangaroo,” enters its “hundredth” year of operation, the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner has been painted in holiday colors. The livery illustrates all the Qantas logos from 1920 (the year of its foundation) to the present day.
Qantas CEO, Alan Joyce, said the aircraft livery is a reminder of the airline’s past and its evolution: “The history of Qantas is the history of modern Australia. The logos on the new livery are telling the story from the beginning”, said Joyce. Qantas Airline is Australia's largest airline headquartered in Sydney. It was founded in 1920 and is the third at the oldest carriers list. Currently, it flies from Melbourne and Sydney to New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, etc.
