Products with nicotine may appear at aircrafts

Created on 10.10.2019 11:26

The British American Tobacco (BAT) for the first time has agreed with air carrier UTair to conduct promotions, aimed at developing alternative products for smokers, according to RBK.

As explained by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation, the joint action of UTair and BAT does not violate any laws, because the product does not contain a tobacco and its derivatives, and consumption is not a smoking process. The tobacco company notes, that alternative products with nicotine are tobacco heating systems (LYFT, glo), nicotine delivery systems in patches, chewing products, etc.

Since advertising for alternative nicotine products is not regulated, tobacco companies have occupied advertising sites that are prohibited for ordinary cigarettes.
