S7 Group Management has announced the merger of S7 and Globus Airlines

The S7 Group, one of the largest aviation holdings in Russia, has announced the merger of its S7 and Globus airlines. Such action will allow the S7 Group to spare and operate significantly all flights under one code, according to Vedomosti.
The beginning of the merger process was notified to airline employees. The merger is expected by transferring the Globe fleet to the S7 fleet. Employees will also be transferred to S7.
Contracts with counterparts will not be affected - documents will simply be re-signed for one airline. The flight code will be one - S7. The merger’s result will be a combined income about 600 million rubles per year. As Tatyana Fileva noted, Vice-President of S7 Group, all cabin crew will be trained and will be able to operate flights on both Boeing and Airbus aircrafts.
The Chief of the united airline will be Vadim Klebanov, Globus CEO. S7 CEO is retiring and will be involved in the construction of a new S7 business jet factory in the Moscow region.
