Thousands of people could not fly out due to British Airways computer failure

Thousands of people could not fly on time from UK airports due to a computer malfunction in the British Airways passenger check-in system, according to BBC.

More than two hundred flights were delayed, at least 81 flights were canceled at Heathrow Airport. Passengers were advised to arrive beforehand. At various airports, British Airways employees have been compelled to check-in passenger manually.

The company apologized and stated, nearby passengers from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airport might rebook tickets for another day. It is also alleged, that problems arose at several airports.
