Air Astana is enhancing financial results during the first half of 2019

For the first semester of 2019, Air Astana's revenues grew up by 12%, and total operating expenses - by 7%.

As a consequence, the financial results of Air Astana have improved by 54%, and in the first semester of 2018, the loss has decreased from 6 billion tenge to 2.7 billion tenge during the first half of 2019. For the first six months, lower results are characterized with the subsequent results restoration in the second half of the year.

Air Astana has transported 2.1 million passengers in the first half of the year, which is 1% more than a year ago. Internal traffic revealed good results with an increase of 9%. It should be noted, in June 2019, Air Astana has carried out 39% more domestic passengers compared to June 2018, and this trend will continue and intensify with the growing positive influence of FlyArystan.

The middle age of Air Astana aircrafts is 7.36 years. The fleet consists of 36 Boeing 767/757, Airbus A320 / A321 and Embraer E190 / E190-E2 aircrafts.

In June, the airline for the eighth time was awarded with Skytrax Agency award under “Best Airline in Central Asia and India”.
