Embraer has certified a new business jet Praetor 500

Embraer has received a certificate from Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) for its new Praetor 500 mid-range business jet, according to Ato.ru.

According to a Brazilian manufacturer, the Praetor 500 is the longest and fastest aircraft in its class. During certification flight tests, the Praetor 500 demonstrated an intercontinental flight range of 6186 km, which is 150 km further than previously stated. This model can operate non-stop between the West Coast of the USA and Europe, from Los Angeles to London, and also between South America and the Old World, from Sao Paulo to Paris.

With the advent of new business jets, Brazilian manufacturer is strengthening positions in the business aviation segment after transferring passenger and military aircraft programs to a joint venture with Boeing Corporation.
