Uzbekistan Airports allowed to conduct pricing policies independently

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree according to which the airports of Uzbekistan are able independently to determine and set rates and fees for their services.
According to the document, “Uzbekistan Airports” JSC has the right to determine and set rates and fees for services provided by the airport (exception for services offered by resident airlines).
Additionally, air harbors have gained the right on expanding and modernizing infrastructure required for storing aviation fuel and fuel lubricants; as well as conclude contracts competitively with local or foreign legal entities on delivery of aviation fuel and fuel lubricants; contracts for their realization to local or foreign airlines, operating flights to international airports of the country, including transit.
It should be reminded, in November 2018, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree “On measures for cardinal improvement the civil aviation of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
The creation of “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC, based on the directorship NAC “Uzbekistan Havo Yullari”, as well as the state-owned unitary enterprises “Flight Complex”, “General Airline Agency”, and Complex of material and technical supply “Uzaviatekhsnab” established by Document.
JSC “Uzbekistan Airports”, a limited liability company “Uzbekistan Helicopters”, is also created on the SUE “Airline for Special Aircraft Operations”. “Center Uzaeronavigation”, the state-owned enterprise has been transferred to the Cabinet of Ministers.
