The first Kazakhstan ICAO certified safety instructor has appeared at Almaty Airport

Almaty International Airport’s employee has become the first ICAO certified aviation security instructor in Kazakhstan. Airport is introducing a security system according to ICAO standards.
Galina Usova, Aviation Training Center instructor at the Almaty International Airport, has received the ICAO certificate (International Civil Aviation Organization) for the first time in Kazakhstan. She has been working at the airport for almost 20 years. The woman has begun working as an inspection agent, and now she is a current instructor on aviation security and an instructor on training of dangerous goods.
“This is the first air safety instructor in Kazakhstan with an international ICAO certificate. She participated in a certification session organized by the ICAO European / North Atlantic Bureau. Instructors had passed trainings and then were taking complicated tests. Following the results, some are simply listeners, but Galina was the only one who received the right to learn aviation security on interventions of the International Civil Aviation Organization”, according to the Almaty airport’s press service.
Almaty Airport also gradually introducing ICAO Safety Management Systems. Guides and manuals on the airport security system have been brought to actual international standards. Heads of the Flight Safety Inspectorate and other airport divisions have attended the ICAO Institute training course. Furthermore, airport’s mid-level managers will be trained.
