Cathay Pacific has announced an amended privacy policy, according to News, Australian portal.
Passengers were warned, that their preferences and movements on board will be recorded, using entertainment system screens. The movements of travelers at the airport, recorded by video cameras will also be saved. Additionally, the airline will collect information about previous trips, information about lost baggage, reviews and passengers complaints. Thus, Cathay Pacific will be able to create a detailed database for each passenger. The airline intends to do everything possible for ensuring collected information security. However, no one gives protection guarantees against hacker attacks.
Cathay Pacific is Hong Kong's leading airline with a fleet of more than 200 aircrafts. The carrier operates flights to 74 destinations, and also a member of the Oneworld international alliance.
