FlyArystan became a monopoly on baggage-free airline tickets in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan has granted FlyArystan an exclusive right to sell tickets at baggage-free rates. According to the Energyprom.kz, monitoring agency, on June 28, the regulator has returned for all air state carriers the previously canceled mandatory free baggage allowance of 20 kg on aircrafts, but left FlyArystan the right to determine independently a weight, dimensions and free baggage allowance.
Amendments to the transport bill, allowing air carriers to determine independently the baggage cost , were approved in April this year by the Parliament(Legislature) of Kazakhstan, later this law was signed by the president of the country. However, at the end of June, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic has amended the transportation rules, obliging airlines to carry free hand luggage, as well as baggage weighing no more than 20 kg.
