Airbus has reported on double profit growth amid the Boeing crisis

In the first half of 2019, Airbus, the European aircraft manufacturer, has reported on significant profit growth.
The corporation’s press release said , the profit of all divisions for the first six months in 2019 exceeded more 2 times compared to first half of 2018.
From January to June 2019, the corporation has earned 2.53 billion euros. In the first half of 2018, semi-annual profit amounted to 1.16 billion euros.
At the same time, the growth of the civil aviation division over the same period turned out to be even greater: in 2019 - from 0.87 million euros to 2.34 billion euros.
Airbus explains this by increased production of the A320 aircrafts, as well as the successful A350 program and favorable exchange rates. Moreover, in the total number of delivered A320 aircrafts (294 units), latest generation proportion of the NEO liners turned out to be 234.
Airbus, has clarified, the net order volume for commercial aircrafts was 88 units, while in the first half of 2018 - 206 aircrafts. General order book as at 30June was 7276 aircrafts.
The successes of the European aircraft giant are taking place amid the Boeing crisis, the American Corporation, its main competitor.
The main reason was the ban of the latest 737 Max aircrafts after air accidents, with their participation. According to reports for the second quarter of 2019, Boeing suffers record losses and has already lost $ 4.9 billion.
More than 500 of the newest Boeing 737 MAX aircrafts have been banned worldwide. This number includes 150 newest aircrafts that are waiting for delivering to customers.
