Due to the annual increase of tourists flow to Lithuania and Poland, governments of the two states have decided to build new airports, which could become the hugest in the world. Reportedly, six Poland design concepts of the future airport are ready. Their commonality is that that terminals are planning to split the gardens, such as Singapore air hub. Besides, rail transport will bring passengers directly to terminal buildings.
Lithuania is still searching for investors. It's expected, until 2021, a need for new air hub will be decided. However, Rokas Masiulis, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania, declared that the growth of traffic, soon or later, will lead to a construction of a large and convenient airport. The new airport will reduce a traffic at overcrowded airports of Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuanian city. It is assumed, the air hub will be built between these two cities.
