Turkmenistan Airlines may resume flights to Europe

Turkmenistan Airlines, with Lufthansa Consulting support, continues to align their standards with requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), in order to regain the possibility of flying to EU countries. According to Ato.ru portal, in August, Turkmenian national carrier plans to pass an audit procedure from the European regulator.

At the beginning of February 2019, the only transporter of Turkmenistan was blacklisted by EASA, which means a ban on flights to Europe. The company reported that the ban had been associated with some "divergences in the American and European systems, defining  requirements and standards for  air technology exploitation." For overcoming issues and aligning  company's activities in accordance with international standards, Turkmenistan Airlines has requested assistance in German Lufthansa Consulting.
