Over the next 20 years, global airlines will need 44 thousand new aircrafts, total cost is $ 6.8 trillion, according to an updated forecast of the Boeing, an American aircraft concern, released at the Le Bourget Air Show, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports.

Besides, the global civilian aircraft fleet will require services totaling $ 9.1 trillion, which provides for a cumulative estimate of the civil aviation segment of $ 16 trillion by the end of 2038, according to a Boeing press release.

Taking into account new aircrafts and aircrafts, which would remain in exploitation, the global civilian aircraft fleet will be 50.66 thousand units by the end of 2038. For the first time, the predicted amount of aircrafts crossed the mark of 50 thousand.

The largest market segment are narrow-body aircrafts - new shipments of this aircraft type will amount to 32.42 thousand units in the next 20 years.

In the CIS countries, according to Bloomberg estimates, over the next two decades, it would take 1.28 thousand new aircrafts totaling $ 270 billion. Due to the growth of the civilian aircraft fleet, airlines will need a large flight flow and technical staff. According to the forecast, by the end of 2038, the civil aviation industry would need almost 2.5 million new experts.
